From June 8-12 Cape Charles joins in celebrating the commemoration of the
Two Hundredth Anniversary of the war of 1812 and the writing of the Star Spangle Banner.
Attending this event were featured tall ships Sultana, Lynx and Appledore V, complete with costumed re-enactors. In addition, the USS Zephyr (PC-8) will be on display honoring the role of the Navy from the war of 1812 to modern day.
Throughout the weekend you found many different entertainers attending the Tall Ships of Cape Charles to help celebrate, including Picasso face and body painter of Williamsburg VA.
